3 Days & 2 Nights.

Day 1: Mombasa-Tsavo West National Park.

  • Depart your hotel or resort in Mombasa early in the morning, around 6-7 AM. The drive to Tsavo West National Park takes approximately 3-4 hours, covering a distance of around 160 km.
  • Along the way, you may want to make a brief stop at the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park and Reserve, located about an hour from Mombasa, to enjoy the scenic coastal views and potentially spot some marine life
  • Arrive at the main gate of Tsavo West National Park in the late morning.
  • Proceed to your accommodation within the park, which could be one of the following options:
  1. Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge
  2. Severin Safari Camp
  3. Finch Hattons Luxury Tented Camp
  • After check-in and a quick lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in Tsavo West.
  • During the game drive, keep an eye out for the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of antelope species.
  • Optional activities for the afternoon:
  1. Visit the Mzima Springs, a series of natural springs that attract a wide range of animals
  2. Go on a guided bush walk to experience the park on foot and learn about the smaller flora and fauna
  3. Stop by the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary to learn about the conservation efforts for the endangered black rhino
  • As the day winds down, return to your accommodation for dinner and relax, reflecting on your day’s adventures in Tsavo West National Park.

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park To Amboseli National park

  • Depart your accommodation within Tsavo West National Park early in the morning, around 6-7 AM. The drive to Amboseli National Park takes approximately 2-3 hours, covering a distance of around 120 km.
  • Along the way, you may want to make a brief stop at the Chyulu Hills, a stunning volcanic range that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
  • Arrive at the main gate of Amboseli National Park in the late morning.
  • Proceed to your accommodation within the park, which could be one of the following options:
  1. Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
  2. Ol Tukai Lodge
  3. Tortilis Camp
  • After check-in and a quick lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park.
  • During the game drive, keep an eye out for the park’s famous elephant herds, as well as other wildlife such as lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species.
  • Optional activities for the afternoon:
  1. Visit the Observation Hill, which offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting)
  2. Engage in a guided walking safari to experience the park on foot and learn about the local ecosystem
  3. Visit a Maasai village to learn about the indigenous culture and traditions
  • As the day winds down, return to your accommodation for dinner and relax, taking in the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park To Mombasa Beach

  • Depart your accommodation within Amboseli National Park early in the morning, around 6-7 AM. The drive to Mombasa Beach takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering a distance of around 250 km.
  • Along the way, you may want to make a brief stop in the town of Maktau, which is known for its historical significance during the colonial era. You can visit the Maktau War Cemetery, which serves as a memorial to the soldiers who lost their lives in the East African Campaign during World War I.
  • Continue your journey towards Mombasa, and you may consider making a stop at the Mtito Andei Wildlife Conservancy, located along the way. This is an excellent opportunity to stretch your legs and potentially spot some wildlife.
  • Arrive at your beach resort or hotel in Mombasa in the early afternoon.
  • After check-in, spend the rest of the day at the beach, enjoying the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the stunning coastal scenery.
  • Optional activities for the afternoon:
  1. Relax on the beach, go for a swim, or engage in watersports such as snorkeling or kayaking.
  2. Visit the historic Old Town of Mombasa, with its narrow streets, colorful markets, and the iconic Fort Jesus.
  3. Explore the Haller Park, a lush green sanctuary that is home to a variety of plant and animal species.
  • As the day comes to an end, enjoy a delightful seafood dinner at one of the beachfront restaurants, taking in the breathtaking sunset over the Indian Ocean.
