7 Days & 6 Nights

Day 1: Mombasa To Tsavo East National Park

  • Depart from your hotel or resort in Mombasa early in the morning (around 7-8 AM).
  • Enjoy the scenic 3-hour drive through the stunning Kenyan countryside, passing by villages and small towns along the way.
  • Upon arrival at Tsavo East, check-in to your chosen safari lodge or tented camp
  • Savor a delicious lunch at your camp/lodge and take some time to relax and unwind.
  • After settling in, embark on an afternoon game drive to explore Tsavo East’s diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Explore the diverse habitats of the park, keeping an eye out for the iconic “red elephants,” as well as lions, leopards, giraffes, and a wide variety of antelope species.
  • Return to your accommodation in time for dinner and relax as you listen to the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2: Tsavo East To Amboseli National Park

  • Wake up to an early morning game drive. This is the best time to view the wildlife in their natural habitats as the animals are more active during this time. An early morning game drive also provides an opportunity to spot the animals you may have missed.
  • Return to your camp/lodge for a hearty breakfast.
  • Depart your accommodation in Tsavo East National Park and begin the drive to Amboseli National Park (approximately 2 hours).
  • Arrive at Amboseli National Park and check in at one of the tented camps/lodges.
  • Take some time to relax and unwind at your camp/lodge.
  • Embark on a guided game drive at the park. Stop at a scenic viewpoint to admire the iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. This is one of the highlights of visiting Amboseli.
  • Continue your game drive, keeping an eye out for the diverse wildlife of Amboseli, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. The park is also known for its large elephant herds.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated picnic site within the park. Enjoy your meal while surrounded by the stunning natural scenery.
  • After lunch, embark on another game drive, exploring different areas of the park and trying to spot more of the iconic wildlife.
  • Return to your camp/lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Amboseli To Lake Naivasha

  • Depart Amboseli after breakfast, around 8:00 AM, and drive for approximately 5 hours to reach Lake Naivasha.
  • Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, check-in to your pre-booked accommodation, which may be a lodge, tented camp, or guesthouse located near the lake’s shores.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. During the boat ride, you will have the opportunity to see hippos, a variety of bird species, and possibly other wildlife that come to the lake to drink.
  • After the boat ride, take a short walk along the lake’s shores or explore the surrounding areas. This is a great chance to stretch your legs and enjoy the tranquil lakeside environment.
  • Visit a nearby Elsamere Conservation Centre, which was the former home of Joy Adamson, the author of “Born Free.” Learn about the conservation efforts and the history of this iconic place.
  • Return to your accommodation and enjoy some free time. You can relax, go for a swim (if available at your accommodation), or simply take in the beautiful lake views.
  • Have dinner at your accommodation or a nearby restaurant. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lake Naivasha as the day comes to an end.
  • Overnight stay at your Lake Naivasha accommodation.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha To Lake Nakuru National Park

  • Depart your accommodation at Lake Naivasha and begin the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park (approximately 2 hours)
  • Check in at one of the camps/lodges
  • Embark on a morning game drive focusing on spotting the famous flamingos and other bird species. Lake Nakuru is a RAMSAR site and home to over 450 species of birds, including the lesser and greater flamingos. Take your time to enjoy the scenic views and spot various animals such as lions, leopards, and rhinos.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the park. The park offers several picnic sites, including Baboon Cliff and Lion Cliff, which provide great views of the surrounding landscape and wildlife.
  • After lunch, focus on bird watching, which is one of the park’s main attractions. The southern end of Lake Nakuru is a hotspot for bird species, and the dry season (June to October and December to March) is the best time to spot them.
  • Visit Makalia Falls, a magnificent feature within the park. The falls are located on the southern end of Lake Nakuru and are a great spot for photography and nature viewing.
  • Return to your camp/lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru To Masai Mara National Reserve

  • Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast, around 8:00 AM, and enjoy a scenic drive for approximately 3 hours to reach the Masai Mara National Reserve.
  • Upon arrival, check-in to your pre-booked safari lodge or tented camp located within the Masai Mara. Take some time to relax and unwind as you prepare for the adventure ahead.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch at your camp/lodge
  • Embark an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara and witness the diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.
  • As the afternoon light starts to soften, make your way back to your accommodation, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the way to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Masai Mara.
  • Arrive back at your safari lodge or tented camp. Enjoy some leisure time before gathering for a delicious dinner prepared by the camp’s culinary team.
  • After dinner, relax and unwind at your accommodation.

Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara Game Drives

  • Embark on an early morning game drive. This is an optimal time to spot wildlife, as many animals are most active during the cooler morning hours.
  • Stop at a scenic location within the reserve for a picnic breakfast. Enjoy your meal while taking in the stunning views of the Masai Mara.
  • Continue your game drive, exploring different areas of the park and searching for the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants, and buffaloes) as well as other diverse wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species.
  • Return to your camp or lodge for a relaxed lunch and some downtime to recharge.
  • Embark on an afternoon game drive focusing on areas you may not have covered during the morning. This is an excellent opportunity to see different animal behaviors and interactions.
  • Visit a Maasai village to learn about the local culture, traditions, and way of life. Interact with the Maasai people, participate in cultural activities, and gain a deeper understanding of this iconic African tribe.
  • Depart the Maasai village and head back to your camp or lodge, stopping at a scenic viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the Masai Mara.
  • Return for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Masai Mara To Nairobi

  • Wake up to a hearty breakfast and check out.
  • This day there is an option of visiting Masai cultural village and explore their rich culture.
  • Depart to Nairobi with a stopover lunch at a tastefully selected restaurant.
  • Drop off at your hotel or the airport.
