DAY 1-Nairobi to Amboseli
  • Departure from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park (approximately 5-6 hours’ drive).
  • Pass through indigenous African landscapes and be met by the view of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro at the majestic aura of Amboseli National Park (Kenya’s most popular park). Arrive in time for a refreshing lunch at the camp/lodge.
  • Proceed to an afternoon game drive amidst the breathtaking vistas of the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro -Africa’s tallest mountain, where nature’s grandeur unfolds in an awe-inspiring spectacle.
  • Evening view of the serene vegetation and spectacular display of the wildlife -including the Big Five comprising the lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.
  • Return for dinner and overnight sleep at a lodge/camp.
DAY 2-Amboseli National Park Full Day Game Drive
  • Brighten your day with an early breakfast at the camp/lodge.
  • Proceed to an adventurous full-day game drive to view the beauty of the park's wildlife as they begin their day, from graceful elephants to elusive predators.
  • Explore different areas of Amboseli, each offering unique wildlife sightings and awe-inspiring views of Mount Kilimanjaro encountering lions, cheetahs, and giraffes.
  • Take a break for a bush picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
  • Take photos from our open-roofed tour vehicle.
  • Return for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3-Amboseli to Lake Naivasha
  • Delight in an early breakfast from the lodge/hotel and check out.
  • Proceed to Lake Naivasha through the entrancing Great Rift Valley (approximately 6 hours from Amboseli). Stop at the viewpoint to take photos and capture memories. Hand-made souvenirs may be bought here from local artisans as they amuse you with myths and traditional stories about how the Rift Valley came to be.
  • Arrive for luscious hot lunch at the lodge/budget hotels and check-in. Head out for enchanting afternoon boat rides and pleasant walking safaris at Crescent Island (approximately 2-3 hrs. activities).
  • Return for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4 -Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru National Park
  • Have an early breakfast and check out.
  • Drive from Naivasha on a scenic road journey to Lake Nakuru, a captivating oasis nestled in the heart of Kenya's Great Rift Valley (approximately 2 hours drive).
  • Arrive for lunch and check in at a lodge/budget hotel.
  • Proceed to an afternoon game drive and flamingo viewing experience of the pink-hued spectacle along the lake's shores followed by birdwatching and photography capturing the diverse avian species that call this sanctuary home.
  • Return to lodge/hotel for dinner and overnight.
-DAY 5-Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve
  • Enjoy early morning breakfast at the lodge/hotel and check out.
  • Proceed to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hours’ drive from Lake Nakuru.
  • Arrive and check in at a lodge/camp and have an enlivening lunch.
  • Head out for an afternoon game drive to witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebras as they migrate across the plains in search of greener pastures, their thunderous footsteps echoing across the landscape.
  • Return for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6-Full Day Maasai Mara Game Drives
  • Arise to an early morning breakfast at and proceed to a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the Maasai Mara.
  • Keep an eye out for the iconic Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, white and black rhinos.
  • Explore different areas of the reserve, each offering unique wildlife sightings and stunning vistas.
  • Take a break for a bush picnic lunch amidst the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.
  • Stop by the Mara River which is the center stage of the 8th wonder of the world and witness the Great Wildebeest Migration (occurs every year from July-October).
  • Return to the lodge/camp for a delightful dinner, recalling the day's incredible experiences and overnight.
DAY 7 Maasai Mara-Nairobi
  • Have an early breakfast as you check out of the camp/lodge.
  • This day there is an optional nature walk with Maasai Moran along the park boundaries and visit the Maasai cultural village (Manyatta).
  • Depart to Nairobi with a stop over lunch at a tastefully selected restaurant.
  • Drop off at your hotel or airport.

Essential Travel Tips for Your East African Adventure

Clothing On Safari

Make sure you pack different layers of clothes. During the day temperatures may vary and wearing different layers makes it easy to quickly adapt to weather changes. Pack protective clothing against the sun and mosquitoes. Also don’t forget your swimming clothes and a poncho and/or a raincoat to stay dry during unexpected rain showers.

Sunglasses

Sunglasses are another essential item to pack for a safari in Kenya. The sun can be pretty harsh, so protecting your eyes from the glare is necessary. We recommend packing a pair of polarized sunglasses that will reduce glare and provide 100% UV protection.

Hat

A hat is a must-have item when going on a safari in East Africa. Not only will it protect you from the harsh sun, but it will also keep your head cool and prevent mosquito bites. We recommend packing a wide-brimmed hat to provide maximum protection against the sun. A baseball cap or visor will do the trick if you don’t have a wide-brimmed hat.

Insect Repellent

Remember to pack insect repellent! Mosquitoes are everywhere in Kenya, so protecting yourself from bites is essential. Pack a strong insect repellent that contains at least 30% DEET. Apply the repellent liberally all over your body, especially in areas where mosquitoes are known to bite, such as the ankles, wrists, and neck.

Single Use Plastic

The import of plastic is banned in several countries in East Africa. When traveling, ensure you don’t carry plastic bags or other disposable plastic items. We fully support this change and recommend you bring your drinking bottle to refill with the water we provide on your safari. If you have any questions about which items are allowed in the country of arrival, do not hesitate to ask us!

Although not mandatory, tipping is an expression of your gratitude and appreciation for your guide and other staff making your safari more memorable.
