5 days safari ( Entebbe-Kisoro-Bwindi-Kisoro-Entebbe).

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kisoro
  • Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in the morning, where you will be met by your driver/guide.
  • Embark on a journey to the town of Kisoro, located near the border with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • The drive from Entebbe to Kisoro takes approximately 6-7 hours, passing through scenic countryside and small towns.
  • Upon arrival in Kisoro, check in to your lodge and have lunch.
  • Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge or exploring the local area through activities like birdwatching or nature walks.
  • Enjoy dinner at the lodge in the evening and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi and Gorilla Trekking
  • After an early breakfast, depart for the nearby Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. (approximately 1-2 hours)
  • Attend a brief orientation session at the park headquarters, where you will receive instructions and guidelines for the gorilla trekking activity.
  • Set out on your gorilla trekking adventure, which can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family.
  • Once you locate the gorillas, you will have the opportunity to observe them for up to 1 hour, marveling at their family dynamics and behaviors.
  • Return to the lodge for lunch and the remainder of the afternoon to relax or explore the local area.
  • Enjoy dinner at the lodge in the evening.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Experience.
  • After an early breakfast, embark on a second day of gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
  • This allows you the opportunity to potentially see a different gorilla family or gain additional insights into their lives.
  • Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a cultural experience with the Batwa Pygmy community.
  • The Batwa are an indigenous group who were the original inhabitants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
  • Engage with the Batwa and learn about their traditional way of life, customs, and connection to the forest.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Kisoro and Boat Cruise.
  • After breakfast, depart Bwindi and transfer back to the town of Kisoro.
  • Upon arrival in Kisoro, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch.
  • In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the serene Lake Bunyonyi.
  • Lake Bunyonyi is renowned for its scenic beauty, with terraced hills and over 20 small islands dotting its surface.
  • The boat cruise offers a chance to observe the local wildlife and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the lake.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure from Entebbe.
  • After an early breakfast, depart Kisoro and make the return journey to Entebbe, stopping for lunch along the way.
  • Upon arrival in Entebbe, check in to your final lodge and have the afternoon free to relax or explore the local area.
  • Enjoy a farewell dinner at the lodge before your late-night departure from Entebbe International Airport.
  • Meet, Greet, and Assist services.
  • Full board accommodation while on Safari.
  • Game drives in the parks and game reserves visited.

Essential Travel Tips for Your East African Adventure

Clothing On Safari

Make sure you pack different layers of clothes. During the day temperatures may vary and wearing different layers makes it easy to quickly adapt to weather changes. Pack protective clothing against the sun and mosquitoes. Also don’t forget your swimming clothes and a poncho and/or a raincoat to stay dry during unexpected rain showers.


Sunglasses are another essential item to pack for a safari in Kenya. The sun can be pretty harsh, so protecting your eyes from the glare is necessary. We recommend packing a pair of polarized sunglasses that will reduce glare and provide 100% UV protection.


A hat is a must-have item when going on a safari in East Africa. Not only will it protect you from the harsh sun, but it will also keep your head cool and prevent mosquito bites. We recommend packing a wide-brimmed hat to provide maximum protection against the sun. A baseball cap or visor will do the trick if you don’t have a wide-brimmed hat.

Insect Repellent

Remember to pack insect repellent! Mosquitoes are everywhere in Kenya, so protecting yourself from bites is essential. Pack a strong insect repellent that contains at least 30% DEET. Apply the repellent liberally all over your body, especially in areas where mosquitoes are known to bite, such as the ankles, wrists, and neck.

Single Use Plastic

The import of plastic is banned in several countries in East Africa. When traveling, ensure you don’t carry plastic bags or other disposable plastic items. We fully support this change and recommend you bring your drinking bottle to refill with the water we provide on your safari. If you have any questions about which items are allowed in the country of arrival, do not hesitate to ask us!
