Safari Day 1. Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park
  • Depart from Nairobi and head towards Tsavo West National Park (approximately 4-5 hours’ drive).
  • Arrive at Tsavo West National Park and check-in the camp/lodge. There are various options available, including lodges and budget tented camps, catering to different budgets and preferences.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch at your accommodation and take some time to relax and settle in.
  • Embark on an afternoon game drive in an open roof 4x4 safari vehicle with our experienced guide. Tsavo West National Park is known for its diverse landscapes, including volcanic hills, open plains, and the scenic Mzima Springs.
  • Explore the park's different habitats, keeping an eye out for wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species.
  • Visit the Shetani Lava Flow, a striking black lava field formed by volcanic activity. Take a short walk along the lava flow to observe its unique geological features.
  • As the sun begins to set, capture the beautiful landscapes and wildlife in the warm golden light.
  • Return to the loge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
 Safari Day 2. Tsavo West Game Drives to Tsavo East National Park
  • Start your day with an early breakfast and a checkout.
  • Depart Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East which is separated by Mombasa highway
  • Explore different areas of the park, including the scenic Chyulu Hills and the iconic Rhino Valley, which is home to a significant population of black rhinos.
  • Spend the morning game viewing around the park, focusing on specific species or exploring the park's unique features like the Yatta Plateau or the Athi River.
  • Bid farewell to Tsavo West National Park and begin your journey back to Nairobi/Mombasa.
  • Meet, Greet and Assist services.
  • Full board meals while on Safari.

Essential Travel Tips for Your East African Adventure

Clothing On Safari

Make sure you pack different layers of clothes. During the day temperatures may vary and wearing different layers makes it easy to quickly adapt to weather changes. Pack protective clothing against the sun and mosquitoes. Also don’t forget your swimming clothes and a poncho and/or a raincoat to stay dry during unexpected rain showers.


Sunglasses are another essential item to pack for a safari in Kenya. The sun can be pretty harsh, so protecting your eyes from the glare is necessary. We recommend packing a pair of polarized sunglasses that will reduce glare and provide 100% UV protection.


A hat is a must-have item when going on a safari in East Africa. Not only will it protect you from the harsh sun, but it will also keep your head cool and prevent mosquito bites. We recommend packing a wide-brimmed hat to provide maximum protection against the sun. A baseball cap or visor will do the trick if you don’t have a wide-brimmed hat.

Insect Repellent

Remember to pack insect repellent! Mosquitoes are everywhere in Kenya, so protecting yourself from bites is essential. Pack a strong insect repellent that contains at least 30% DEET. Apply the repellent liberally all over your body, especially in areas where mosquitoes are known to bite, such as the ankles, wrists, and neck.

Single Use Plastic

The import of plastic is banned in several countries in East Africa. When traveling, ensure you don’t carry plastic bags or other disposable plastic items. We fully support this change and recommend you bring your drinking bottle to refill with the water we provide on your safari. If you have any questions about which items are allowed in the country of arrival, do not hesitate to ask us!
